I'm the founder and CEO of ChowTap, building the operating system for student life across Nigerian university campuses, a commerce platform giving over 20 million African students fast, affordable access to food, groceries, essentials, and soon financial services. Since launching our pilot at McPherson University, we've processed over ₦36M in revenue and 13,500+ orders at a 96.7% completion rate, and we're now scaling to 16 campuses nationwide with a path toward $21M in GMV by 2029.
Background & Skills
- Founding and leadership experience building and shipping multiple technology products, including prior fintech and AI ventures - End-to-end startup execution: product, operations, fundraising, partnerships, and go-to-market strategy - Hands-on experience structuring commercial and financing partnerships (e.g., our rider motorcycle lease-to-own program with logistics partners) - Deep focus on underserved, high-density markets — building infrastructure for a demographic (African university students) largely overlooked by mainstream consumer tech
What I'm Looking For
Currently raising a $250,000 pre-seed/seed round to fund vendor and rider network expansion across new campuses. Open to conversations with investors focused on African/emerging-market consumer tech, fintech, or logistics, as well as strategic partners (mobility, payments, campus-adjacent services) who can help scale ChowTap's campus footprint faster.
