Sahel Programme Manager, Higher Executive Officer (HEO) Grade with the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and British Embassies: supporting the London Sahel and Security Department and Regional Dakar Hub by providing high quality programme management of various portfolios of programmes which is promoting social protection, building stability, bolstering conflict resolution while addressing climate change, key humanitarian and longer-term development needs in the G5 Sahel countries (Burkina Faso, Chad, Mauritania, Mali, Niger). The regional role assists FCDO to deliver results for people in the Sahel by ensuring excellence in programme, financial, risk and commercial management. By holding this position, I am contributing to build trusted and influential relationships with suppliers and partners such as World Bank, Center for Disaster Protection, Mercy Corps International, governments, private sector and selected downstream actors to deliver effective programmes in target countries. The focus of the intervention is to manage the multidonor trust fund and oversight direct grants to service providers in accordance with FCDO Programme Operating Framework and ensuring UK investment in the Sahel delivers quality, impact and maximum value of money for countries and people in the Sahel region.
